How to use Practice Lab skill chips

• Tap the skill selector above the chat input (the label showing the current skill or "No skill selected")
• Browse or search for a skill — chips are grouped by topic
• Select a chip to activate it for your session — Alex will focus on that skill area
• The active skill appears as a badge above the input so you always know what you're working on
• To remove the skill and go free-form, tap the chip again or select "No skill"
• You don't have to use a skill chip — you can always just bring your own topic, and switch skills mid-conversation any time

Getting the most from it

• A Commitment is most powerful when it's specific: "I will ask one open question before responding in Tuesday's meeting"

• Ticking off commitments builds a visible record of your development

• A Situation is a real challenge or context you want to keep coming back to — for example, a difficult colleague, a leadership transition, or a recurring conversation pattern
• Open My Situation from the sidebar to describe your context once — the companion will use it to personalise every session
• You can save multiple situations to your library and switch between them depending on what you want to focus on that day

How to use it

• Tap My Situation in the sidebar and describe what's going on — be as specific as you like: the context, the people involved, what you're trying to achieve
• Tap Save & Use — the companion will be aware of this context from the start of each conversation
• Tap Save to library to store it and switch back to it later without retyping
• To pause using a situation, clear or deactivate it — your library entries stay saved

Why it's useful

• Lets you practise the same challenge from different angles across multiple sessions
• Saves time — you don't have to re-explain your context every session
